hands the interests of the accused man have been placed, able to suggest to Dr. Symons more than that there might have been a blow over the kidney on the left side, a blow of such penetrative powers as to strike deep, as deep as the very kidney itself, without leaving any bruise or other trace on the surface. You will remember there was not a word said to Dr. Symons to suggest that only the day before the examination the accused had had a thorough thrashing.
There, gentlemen, is the case.
Unsatisfactory, I repeat,
